Be Myself & Free.

Art is an outlet for you to explore your thoughts and be free. Come and share your thoughts and ideas with us for your next tattoo. We will work with you to turn your thoughts into ink on your skin.

- Nina, founder of BMF Ink

Located in the heart of East Coast, Singapore, BMF Ink was established by Nina when she decided to set up her own tattoo studio. BMF Ink prides itself on professionalism, ethics, and above all else, awesome pieces of art and tattoos for the world to see.

The tattooing process

  1. Contact us for a face to face consultation to discuss your ideas. A $50 deposit is required to secure a consultation slot. This will be offset from the cost of your tattoo if you decide to tattoo, or returned to you if you decide not to work with us.

We will set aside up to an hour for your consultation appointment, so that we can fully discuss and explore your ideas and take measurements.

  2. If you’re happy with the ideas, pay a deposit and set a date to get tattooed! (Deposit is valid for 6 months after payment and will be forfeited if you do not start tattooing within 6 months). The deposit will be offset from the final cost of the tattoo.

  3. Show up on your appointment date and prepare for a BMF tattoo!

Touch ups

  1. Touch ups, if necessary, are free within 3 months of tattooing. Tips are welcome, but optional :)

  2. Any additional colour, add ons or designs requested by the client during touch up will be charged accordingly.

Pricing and Regulations

Tattoos

If you want masterpieces that you can be proud of, will last for a long time, and show off to family and friends, you’ve come to the right place. Here at BMF Ink, tattoos start from SGD $120. These will typically be simpler in design, eg. a simple line / dot / word.

For bigger and more complex pieces, we will quote by piece or require a face to face discussion.

To get the best idea of how much your tattoo will cost, we would require you to have a walk in discussion with us at BMF Ink. We will offer you professional advice. As everyone’s body type/ shape/ size/ skin tone is different, we have to make some measurements in order to give you an estimate. We do not discuss pricing over the phone. Neither will we send designs over the phone in order to protect the integrity of our work.

Tattoos are a permanent piece of art that will be on your skin for as long as you live. Anyone can pick up a tattoo machine and start inking away and charge you $20 or $30 for a kindergarten scribble. If that’s what you want, you might want to look elsewhere.

As artists, we hope our clients will respect our profession and recognise the years of hard work and effort that goes into tattooing. Just as you wouldn’t haggle over the price of a dish at a restaurant, you wouldn’t haggle over the price of a tattoo. We do our best when it comes to the transparency of our pricing. All prices will be discussed and agreed upon by all parties before the tattooing starts, so you will have a clear idea of how much to prepare.

Latecoming

We are a professional tattoo studio and believe in respecting our clients. We promise good work, service, aftercare services and a pleasant experience. We will show up early to prepare all the necessary materials so that we can start on time. As such, we appreciate it when clients respect us as well by showing up on time.

For clients who have set up a consultation appointment with us and are late by more than 15 minutes, we might have to ask you to return another day. As we will have more than one consultation appointment a day, a client being late means that subsequent clients may be delayed.

Changing rates

For bigger pieces of work (e.g. a full back/arm sleeve/leg sleeve) we encourage our clients to finish them within a year, starting from the date of the first session. As we may revise our rates from time to time, it would not be fair to the artists if their rates go up, but they have to charge a lower rate due to the client taking 5 years to complete a piece (an exaggerated example, but the point remains.)

For clients who take longer than a year to complete their piece, the artist’s new rate will be charged (if applicable).

Rules at BMF Ink

We believe in professionalism and mutual respect. Thus, will not ink you if you are

  • under 18 (unless accompanied by a parent/guardian)

  • drunk

  • disrespectful

Tips if you’re getting tattooed

  • Eat something before getting tattooed. You might be sitting for a few hours and being hungry is only going to make the pain worse. Low blood sugar may also result in fainting spells. That being said, our artists have really gentle hands and will minimise your discomfort as much as possible :)

  • Stay out of the sun before and after getting tattooed. Sunburnt skin is impossible to tattoo, as it will hurt too badly and ink doesn’t hold on damaged skin.

  • Moisturize your skin for a few days before getting tattooed. Moisturized skin is easier to work on and ink holds better.

  • Have water at the ready. Stay hydrated so that your skin isn’t dry. We do have water in the studio upon request.

  • Don’t drink alcohol before tattooing, and don’t be hungover. Trust us.

  • For the sake of all that is good, try to smell decent. Tattooing needs a fair bit of concentration and being distracted won’t help your artist.

  • Let us know if you have a medical condition. We’re not doctors, but we have tattooed a huge variety of people and will advise you accordingly.
